Chris Broke It

hello all,

well despite the extreme drama in my life right now,
it's time to give back in a positive manner. if you are not aware, although i am chris, and i break things, i am in a band of the same name as this blog: "Chris Broke It."

if you have not heard our work, i would describe it both thinly and vaguely as indie/electronica. each song is a bit different than the next...we tend to use pretty varied instrumentation and styles from song to song. for example, this song, "I reK" is pretty dark and comprises of mandolin, cello, and deep organ bass.

anyhow if you'd like a peek feel free to download "I reK," track two from
"End. (The EP)" here:

I reK - Chris Broke It

you can also grab "Pavil's Song," a simple track with acoustic guitar and strings from JJS III's blog here:
Chris Broke It Review and Pavil's Song

to hear more off our upcoming full length,

today's listening list is more indie/dance-punkish
1. Hot Chip "Ready for the Floor" (Soulwax remix)
2. Cazals "Someone, Somewhere" (Bloody Beetroots remix)
3. Junkie XL "Cities in Dust" (Glimmers mix)
4. Elevator Suite "The Wheel" (Alex Metric remix)
5. The Whip "Trash" (Crookers remix)

Sup.

Hello all,

time to test the phenomenon known as blogging.
expect much music talk and other nonsense.

much of my writing will be separated in lines,
and often have unnecessary punctuation.
i'm not sure if broken will be posting here also,
but if he does, that will be interesting.

my musical taste covers much of electronica, dance, indie, and classical/modern.

here's what i'm listening to today:
1. LCD Soundsytem - Someone Great
2. Time to Pretend - MGMT
3. Portishead - Silence
4. Shitdisco - 72 VIRGINS (Bloody Beetroots Mix)
5. Clark - Matthew Unburdened

sup.
